Are you a "Crazy Mom"?  What I mean is do you feel
overwhelmed at times with all the roles you have to fill as a
mother?
About a year ago my oldest son (5 years old at the time) was
sitting at the kitchen table with paper and crayons.  I was
cooking supper and trying to keep my youngest son off the
kitchen table, out of the fridge and away from the stove.
Well my oldest son asked me for some ideas on what he
should draw, after several suggestions (none of which
seemed fun enough) my youngest decided to climb in a
kitchen chair and lean over the back of it.  I caught him and
the chair in mid-fall and was setting him down on the floor to
check the status of my boiling pot when my oldest asked
again in a very whiny tone "Mom, what can I draw?".  At that
point I turned towards him, raised my hands in the air and
said "Why don't you draw, "CRAAAAZZZY Mommy"?  My son
burst out laughing and said "That's a good idea." Funny
huh?  He actually did draw a picture of me with my hands up
in the air, and when his Daddy got home he showed him his
drawing of "CRAAAAZZZY Mommy".  We still have the
picture in his art book.  Not my best moment, but it worked.
I know how difficult it can be at times to keep your sanity as a
mother.  I also know the joys and triumphs that only a mother
can feel.  I would not trade my little ones for anything so I
have to take the good days with the bad days.  There is a
song out now by Trace Adkins called "Your Gonna Miss
This", and I know that it is true, one day when my children
are grown and out of the house I will miss this and "...wish
these days hadn't gone by so fast".  I believe the key to
motherhood is trying to enjoy every stage that our kids are
in and remember, the "Crazy" times may actually be the
times that we will miss later.   For now here are a few
articles, tips and resources to help you keep your sanity.
